A Study of Vitiligo on the Oriental and Western Medicine Approch


Abstract
This is an analysis classified as vitiligo during the period from 1988 to 1990.
¨ç There were 151 males(46.3%) and 175 females(53.7%).
¨è Occupational frequency was 111(36.2 %) students, 65(21.2%) mentals, 63(20.5%) housewives, and had 94(29.1%) genetic (Family History)
¨é The mean Age at the first visit was 30.8 years.
¨ê The mean Age of onset was 20.1 years and 78.4% incidenced before 30 years.
¨ë The mean Interval between onset and visiting was 9.71 years.
¨ì The most Common previous treatment behavior was Western Medicine(54.6%) and more than two method was 33.5%.
¨í Blood type (A, B, AB, O) was similar frequance and body type classified by oriental Medicine (So Yang in, So Yin in, Tae Yin in, Tae Yang in) was 218(67.1%), 177(22.8%), 31(9.5%), 2(0.6%), respectively.
¨î Relation between degree of disease and preferance diet was not significant (P£¾0.05), but Meat preferance diet incidence was more 3 times than vegetable preferance diet.
